In keeping with its primary goal of helping confectioners manufacture better products through education and information, PMCA offers a series of specialized training courses to personnel from member companies and from members of other industry groups such as AACT, NCA, CMA, and RCI. Each course provides theoretical and hands-on training. They are held at the facilities of a confectionery manufacturer or an approved university facility, and are conducted by well-qualified facilitators. Each course is limited to approximately 20 participants.
The program has been designed to create an opportunity for economical and practical training. Most courses are three or four days long in order to accommodate the regular job demands of participants. Topics are rotated over a two or three year cycle, with three or four courses offered each year.
Enrollees must be employees of PMCA Member Companies or members of AACT, NCA, CMA, RCI or related Int'l. associations. Members of PMCA have priority registration for six weeks and reduced fees. Tuition typically covers course materials, lunches, welcome reception or dinner and bus transportation between hotel and factory if applicable.
PMCA also provides information and hot-links to Short Courses on other topics from other associations in the confectionery industry.
Details and registration forms for each course will be mailed to all PMCA personnel approximately 15 weeks before each course start, and will also be available from the PMCA office.
